Job Duties:

The objective is to generate growth in services and support revenue for Mentor Graphics in the automotive market. The individual plays a critical role in successfully driving our services offerings into the marketplace by understanding the current market conditions and developing a strategy to drive both internal and external awareness of the value for Mentor’s services offerings. The individual is responsible to help bring to market and effectively position and promote current service offerings to customers, partners and key stakeholders in the sales organization.

• Drive interaction with account teams in sales to increase services revenues.

• Scope of role will be broad through Customer Support, incumbent will be involved in everything from the development of services, to supporting the creation of marketing strategies, to the generation of the sales funnel and the closing of bookings and revenue, to identifying and developing partnerships that strengthen Mentor’s position in the automotive market.

• Responsibilities in services strategy, initiatives, tactics business development, operations and marketing.

• Influence/decision making on pricing & packaging.

• Role is worldwide

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time

Job Qualifications:

• Detailed understanding of emerging automotive technologies such as Autonomous Cars, Driver Awareness Systems, Sensor Fusion, V2X, and Machine Learning

• Experience working with OEMs and Tier1s

• Project management experience and an ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects

• Critical thinker/problem solver

• Motivated, innovative self-starter, with proven experience in influencing without authority within a cross functional, international and multi-cultural organization

• Able to develop productive partnerships with strategic companies to increase productivity & revenue of division

• Demonstrated ability to work well within a dynamic international engineering and marketing organization

• Experience developing programs and promotions for high technology products and services to both partners and customers in a multi-channel sales model organization

• Strong background in business or technical marketing

• Adept with interactions with senior management across several functional areas, divisions and/or customers

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent, preferred

• Direct engineering or use of engineering software a plus

• Management of staff experience preferred

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time
